Canucks vs Blackhawks: Game Four
The Canucks played like crap on Wednesday and the Blackhawks played a solid game. I suspect that the Canucks will be fired up tonight. It should be a great game. Big Buff will continue to get under the skin of the players and fans. Prediction -- Blackhawks in a squeaker.

Mookie Results
After listing a group of people who I thought might get in BBT5, I was not surprised to see a classic match-up at the end: LJ vs TwoBlackAces. LJ built up a massive stack with her aggression and was taking no prisoners (me included), then battled it out with TBA. LJ took the victory, leaving TBA as a BBT5 bubble boy for the second time. It must be frustrating.

SCOOP
I have four SCOOP tickets to use. The huge fields mean playing for the good part of a day if you go deep. It sucks if you do so and only win a few buy ins due to the top heavy payment structure of tournaments.

And Finally ...
To all the mothers out there -- Happy Mothers Day! I am fortunate to have a great mom who is still alive and kicking. My wife is also an excellent mother -- part of what I was looking for in a marriage partner. They deserve a wonderful day.

You have blinders on -- the Canucks have clearly been the better team in this series so far. Their special teams are just killing them though, and the Hawks have converted a better ratio of their scoring chances through a combination of luck and skill.

PL, the Hawks clearly did not come to play game one.

The Canucks seemed to outplay the Hawks the first period of game two. The first eight minutes of game two, period two were rather bland. Since that time, it has been all Hawks. The Hawks have outscored the Canucks 8-2 in the last four periods. Kind of hard to say the Canucks have clearly been the better team, don't you think?

I read nothing but fear in the Vancouver Sun. I guess it won't surprise you to hear that some in Chicago think that Luongo is through and the series is over.

I guess we'll reevaluate after tonight.

The Canucks were a better team in game 1, game 2 was a sawoff (even tho chic won) and game 3 the Canucks were badly outcoached and outplayed. Tonight should be interesting.

I would probably tend to agree, Coop. Hard for me to understand PL's statement. How one team has clearly been the better team while getting killed on special teams and converting a worse ratio of their scoring chances (to paraphrase PL)???

It is surprising that both teams played so poorly in their first home game.

Sedins need to step it up.

if they do that, we can win 3 of the next 4.

But first we have to win one of the first two...

Just like we did against LA

Simple explantion, prior to Game 4: Canucks have generated more scoring chances than the Hawks. Luck and bounces have gone the Hawks' way in games two and three. I believe on balance of play that the Canucks should have been leading series 2-1 going into game four.

lol @ PL. I don't know how you can possibly say that about game three. Doesn't matter now, though. I'll probably wait until tomorrow to assess game four.
