Ok, tell the truth. You took a shot of someone else's ticket, right?

As they say...
AND NOW...THE REST OF THE STORY.
He was with his whole family. That was 4 waters at .11 with the meal coming out of his backpack. That was the bribe to not get thrown out of their seats,
My Paul Harvey attempt
This was for a steak dinner with some amazing appetizers.
However, he pulled the "there is a pubic hair in my teeth" trick after eating the steak so the meal was given the royal reduction.
He tipped a standard tip for what his meal would have cost but wanted to brag that he tipped big.
Hmmm ... nobody is right on it, but grrouchie is heading in the right direction.
My guess is that the bill was actually $50.44. You had a gift card that someone gave you that was worth $50.00. Leaving a tip of $6.00, you actually gave the server a 11.9% tip.

Forget the tip.. WTF can you buy for 44 cents?
But guessing that you used some gambling comp and it came to 44 cent over what you had left.
wtf -- nobody believes that I would leave a $6 tip on a $.44 purchase? My last name is not Bigcharles, you know.
I actually purchased a $30 certificate for a restaurant for $15. The total came to $30.44, thus I used the credit card for the balance and the tip.
Now I really think you're cheap. Using a credit card for such a small purchase? Unless you were on an expense account or this lunch was tax deductible, I'll give you a hard time for that. The server gets dinged some of that six bucks if you charge it. Couldn't pull six and a half bucks out of your sockroll?
u tip the ppl at Mcds??
